Chef James Torres was inspired by his wife's love for cheese. Her wife believes that cheese makes the food more alive; Both of them tried and tried randomly until they created a delicate dish that became the reason to try more dishes and to turn it into restaurant called "Melt Grilled Cheesery." Melt Grilled Cheesery continued their tradition to use cheese not just in bread but also in every delicious meals, snacks and even drinks that you have in mind.

I had a chance to try Melt Grilled Cheesery and the experience was really worth it! First, let's talk about their interior.

Upon entering you will see the faux brick-lined walls that compliments the three painted colors inside. Yellow, black and brown. The space is small and limited but the glass walls was really a great idea because the resto made it look wider.

They have one large table in the middle that can serve I think 8-10 persons.

I also love the idea of hanging lamps in their wooden bar area. This helps the place to look more elegant but comfy.

They have 10 categories in their menu. Drinks, Appetizers, Soups, Salads, Fondue, Grilled Cheese, Pizza, Pastas and their Mains. If we talk about their plating, I rate it for 5/5! Serving of each plates is big and very presentable. I'm a lover of big plates!

First they served us Iced Latte, Cookies and Cream milkshake, Tomato Soup, Mac and Cheese Bars and Chorizo Risotto Balls.

Iced Latte- Php140 Rate 5/5. A right amount of strong coffee with creamy taste.
Cookies and Cream Milkshake- Php195 Rate 5/5. A creamy and milky cookies and cream milkshake but still have a right amount of sweetness that you will surely love.

Tomato Soup-Php230 Rate: 5/5. The classic warm tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons. First time trying this tomato soup and I had no regrets! Serving of each bowl can be shared by 2 persons.

Mac and Cheese Bars- Php285 Rate: 5/5. Fried mac n cheese bars with sour cream dip and honey. The price can be expensive but the taste is really worth to try! Their dip make the taste more extra!

Chorizo Rissotto Balls- Php310 Rate: 3.5/5. Bacon and Mozarella stuffed deep fried mushroom risotto balls served with tomato puree and honey.

Caesar Salad- Php295 Rate: 3.5/5 Violet lettuce and arugula tossed in raspberry vinaigrette topped with grapes, parma ham, and shaved parmesan. Nothing special on this one after I tried. Just a typical Caesar salad that I knew.

Just a random selfie with my #FoodieBestie while waiting for our pastas to come. Hihi.

Truffle Pasta-Php450 Rate 5/5. Fetuccini tossed in mushroom truffle cream sauced topped with shaved parmesan. A flavorful creamy pasta with the unique taste of something I really can't explain! Haha!

A.M Chori- Php385 Rate 4/5. Egg noodles tossed in cream paprika topped with crispy egg, salami picante and shaved parmesan. First time trying this kind of pasta and I think this is not that bad for you to try.

Ratatouille-Php350 Rate: 3/5. Fettuccine tossed in eggplants, carrots, and zucchini sauteed in their signature sundried tomato pesto sauce topped with caramelized onions, green pesto sauce, cherry tomato confit and smoked kesong puti. If you know the cartoon movie "Ratatouille" I became curious about the dish since then. I hurriedly ordered after seeing the name in their menu. But it came out differently compared in what i saw from the movie. Hahaha! The taste is also new to my tongue so I didn't enjoy the dish that much.
Carnivora-Php595 Rate 3/5. Mozarella, white cheese, basil, sausage, bacon and chorizo on house made tomato sauce and pizza dough topped with smoked paprika and rosemary oil.
Since I ordered so many dishes, I decided to post their Mains in my next blog post as Part 2 of my experience in Melt Grilled Cheesery. Hope you enjoy this and see you in my next post~
